Hi, welcome to my shiny new website.

I’ve resisted this for a long time.  After all, the last thing the internet needs is another unpublished writer blogging about the query process and trying to convince the world she’s qualified to give writing advice.  (I’m really not.  Also, I promise not to bore you with query stats, though I reserve the right to squee when I get a book deal.)

But recently it occurred to me that the act of writing a blog post—heck, even just settling on a topic—forces me to think about things I otherwise wouldn’t, really think about them and form opinions and make connections and have insights.  Sort of magical, really.

I probably won’t post often.  I’m new at this, and it takes a lot more energy than it probably should.  I’ll aim for once a week, at least to start with, and see how it goes.
